Adopting Or Surrendering a dog with Yappy Ever After

Forms

If you are interested in adopting any of our dogs or you would like to surrender your dog to Yappy please read this section to find out more about our procedures.

Our main concern is the welfare of dogs. It is important that we match up the right dog with the right person/family. If you submit an adoption form but do not have a specific dog in mind, we will keep your application on file, ready for when a certain dog does appeal to you and you wish to proceed with that one. If you want to surrender your dog please rest assured your dog will be safe with us for the remainder of their lives. The adoption or surrender form will help us get a better understanding of your current situation and what type of dog you are looking to have join your family or to relinquish.

These are all guidelines for adoption. Any surrendered dog will enter into a foster period, which is within a family home and then be put up for adoption following the adoption procedures. If there are some exceptional homes who don’t quite tick the boxes we will consider them on an individual basis.

It is a condition of adoption that our rescue dogs must live as part of the family and should not live outdoors and we insist that only positive reward based training methods must be used. Yappy do not rehome dogs into a working environment.

It is a condition of adoption that puppies have to attend training classes and we will ask for details of the classes. In some cases we may suggest or insist that adult dogs undertake training classes, where a need has been identified for ongoing training.

If you adopt a puppy you must agree to have them neutered at an age the rescue deems appropriate – in line with veterinary guidelines.

You will need to visit the dog in their foster home after a successful home check. We do not deliver dogs to your home.

ALL adoptions are subject to a satisfactory home check. There is a required donation for adopting your dog, depending on their age. Our adoption fees are as follows:

Up to 6 months – £400.
From 7 months to 5 years – £300.
6 years and above – £200.

Our dogs are all neutered (when old enough), microchipped, flea treated, wormed and fully vaccinated. We also provide four weeks free pet insurance through PetPlan.

We do not accept payment plans.

We reserve the right to perform follow-up home checks after adoption if we have any concerns.

All dogs are adopted with lifetime rescue back up. In the event that you can no longer keep your dog, they must be returned into our care. We will accept them back, at any time, no matter how many years down the line.

If you would like more information about our rescue dogs or wish to offer a loving home to a dog in need please get in touch. All adoptions are subject to a satisfactory home check and adoption fee.
