Adopting from Yappy Ever After
If you are interested in adopting any of our dogs please read this section to find out more about our adoption procedures. You can view our available dogs here.
Our main concern is the welfare of our dogs. It is important that we match up the right dog with the right person/family. If you submit an adoption form but do not have a specific dog in mind, we will keep your application on file, ready for when a certain dog does appeal to you and you wish to proceed.
The adoption application form will help us get a better understanding of your current situation and what type of dog you are looking to have join your family.
These are all guidelines and if there are some exceptional homes who don’t quite tick the boxes we will consider them on an individual basis.
It is a condition of adoption that our rescue dogs must live as part of the family and should not live outdoors and we insist that only positive reward based training methods must be used. Yappy do not rehome dogs into a working environment.
If you adopt a puppy you must agree to have them neutered at around at an age recommended by vets. This is paid for by the rescue at one of our contracted veterinary practices.
You will need to visit the dog in their foster home and return on a mutually convenient date to collect your dog if your application is successful. We do not deliver dogs to your home.
All adoptions are subject to a satisfactory home check. There is a required donation for adopting your dog, depending on their age. Adoption donations are as follows:
Puppies to to 6 months old – £350
Dogs from 6 months to 5 years – £300
Dogs from 6 years old and over – £200
Our dogs are spayed/castrated (when old enough), microchipped, flea treated, wormed and fully vaccinated. We also provide a month of free pet insurance, which we strongly advise you to continue with once the trial period is up.
We do not accept payment plans.
We reserve the right to perform follow-up home checks after adoption.
All dogs are adopted with lifetime rescue back up. In the event that you can no longer keep your adoptee, they must be returned into our care. We will accept them back at any time, even years after you adopted from us.
All adoptions are subject to a satisfactory home check and adoption fee. These rules may seem over the top or excessive, however, Yappy are trying to do all we can to ensure that our dogs go to homes able to give them lifelong care.
Please do not apply to adopt one of our dogs unless you have the adoption fee available. This will save disappointment all around.
We are extremely busy so please fill in an application form and we will contact you if you are successful. All forms are kept on file (unless requested to be removed) so it can be considered for other dogs you may be interested in meeting/adopting.
Please remember, we do not have time to respond to every message, email, text and phone call. Please be patient and understand that we are a rescue, not a business.
