ADOPT ME

We are looking for a foster or forever home for Molly, who is sadly being returned to us after being rehomed earlier this year.

Her foster/adopter has written an assessment for any potential candidates….

“Molly came to us back in June & was clearly a mixed up little girl.

Since then, she’s proved herself to be a very loving bundle of fur & will snuggle up next to you on the sofa when ever she can. She can be a little wary of some people at first but soon settles & likes a good fuss. She likes to be wherever her human is so quite happy being your shadow & following you around the house .
She did originally have bad separation anxiety but now can be left up to 4 hours during the day & sleeps at night downstairs (though she’d rather sleep on the bed with you of course ) from 10pm till 6am.

She does still occasionally chew things at night but if you leave a good bone then that usually resolves things now.

She is totally house trained & recently been spayed .

She loves other dogs but can get very excited so they need to be confident dogs around her that can tell her if she gets too much.

She did have resource guarding when we first had her but that has now reduced to an occasional grumble if given a new toy & not wanting to part with it. She soon gets side tracked with a treat but obviously needs to be watched & therefore ideally a home with no young children.

She has never shown aggression to people at all.

Molly waa prescribed Trazadone before coming to and this has been continued on the advice of our vets to help her settle. A lot of her anxiety behaviour did seem to be related to her season cycle so the hope is that her medication can be reduced once her hormones settle down following her spay.

Molly is a wonderfully loving two-year-old girl that just needs someone with lots of time & love to help her be the dog she was always meant to be”.

If you would like to be considered to foster or adopt Molly

, please fill out an application form at yappyeverafter.org.uk

We can consider adoptive homes that are further afield (not foster) as Molly has now been spayed.
