We are still looking for a foster home for Rupert who came into emergency foster before Christmas. We are hoping people are more able to foster now festivities are out of the way 😊
Rupert is a six-year-old miniature poodle who came to us from a breeder as a low-grade heart murmur was detected at his last health check.
As he came to us as quite an emergency just before Christmas, we are now looking for a foster home for him to stay until he is adopted or a foster with a view to adopt home.
His current short-term foster describes him as the ‘perfect pooch’ who loves to cuddle up to you at any available opportunity.
Rupert’s previous owner did say that Rupert would prefer to be an only dog and his foster agrees that Rupert would be happiest in a home where he is the centre of someone’s world.
As far as we are aware, Rupert hasn’t been around young children. We would be happy to rehome him with children over the age of ten, although a quieter home would be preferable. He would be the perfect companion for an older, retired household.
Rupert will need his heart murmur assessing in a little further with a heart scan so he will need to stay local to our vets for this to be done. Foster homes will need to be local to Derby, Nottingham, Chesterfield, Burton or Stoke (ST3).
