ADOPT ME

Margo is still looking for her perfect forever home.

Margo is a beautiful 6-year-old cocker spaniel who came to us from a breeder after she had been retired.

Margo has always lived in a kennel environment and has not really learned to play yet but she enjoys a sniff on her walks and is very easy on the lead. She doesn’t react to cars, people or other dogs and walks on a nice loose lead. She sleeps beautifully in a crate.

Margo would really benefit from a bit of training to learn some doggy etiquette. This includes mastering house training, which has started in her foster home.

She adores a cuddle and her go-to position is to role over and offer her tummy for belly rubs but she can be quite demanding for attention! For this reason, she may prefer to be an only dog so she doesn’t have to share cuddles – but she is very dog friendly so it really doesn’t matter either way. She is in foster with another dog now with no issues at all.

Margo would best suit a home where she isn’t left for long periods alone in line with her foster home.

Margo has now had her second vaccination. She will need to stay local to the rescue to be spayed in three months time (after just having a season).

Margo has been noted to have a lumpy teat, which vets feel is likely to be scar tissue from past mastitis. They feel that an FNA was unlikely to yield any results and would like it to be monitored only currently. We have had a second opinion on the teat at her second vac appointment and vet was not concerned by it. Any future treatment regarding this would be funded by us and it will be rechecked when she goes in to be spayed,

Margo hasn’t been around young children so will need a home with older children (10+). She is in foster with a young teenager at the moment and has been behaved perfectly.

Margo isn’t cat tested so will need a cat-free home.
