Ollie and Bear are now ready for adoption. Here is their foster-mum’s write-up…
“Meet Ollie & Bear – a bonded pair looking for their forever home 💙
Ollie and Bear are a truly special bonded pair who are ready to find a home together where they can continue to feel safe, loved, and understood.
🐾 Ollie
Ollie is a 6-year-old Labrador with the biggest heart. He is well behaved, affectionate, and absolutely loves being close to his people. When he’s excited, Ollie greets you with a joyful bum wiggle and often brings one of his toys along to say hello.
Ollie gets very excited for his walks and can occasionally pull on the lead. He may bark at strangers at first, but this is all talk — he’s a big softy who has never acted on it. He is fully toilet trained, settles well at night, and is happiest when he’s near his humans.
🐾 Bear
Bear is an 8-year-old Pomeranian with a sensitive soul and a huge personality once he feels safe. He can be vocal when meeting new people, but with reassurance he quickly warms up and wants to be your friend. Once Bear trusts you, he loves to play, have a fuss, and show his cheeky, affectionate side.
Bear has some anxiety, particularly around being left alone, which has previously resulted in the occasional wee. This has already improved greatly with trust, routine, and reassurance training, and continues to get better over time.
Because Bear is much smaller than Ollie, he can sometimes have his toys or snacks taken. As a result, Bear can become protective of his belongings. He is not reactive, but will growl as a warning or take himself away when he needs space. Separating him at times has helped him enjoy his toys peacefully. Bear is very good at communicating his boundaries, and he needs a family who will respect them. Due to his size, sensitivity, and the fact that he already has to share with a bigger dog, a home without younger children would be best. He has been fine with adult guests and children who understand giving him space.
🏡 Their Ideal Home
• Adopted together as a bonded pair
• A calm, understanding home that respects Bear’s boundaries
• No young children
• A family happy to continue Bear’s confidence-building and reassurance training
• Plenty of love, patience, and cuddles
❤️ A Note from Their Foster Family
Ollie and Bear are both toilet trained, sleep peacefully through the night, and have been a joy to foster. They have made a huge impression on our family in such a short time, and anyone would be incredibly lucky to have them.
They have truly left a mark on our hearts. We would love to receive updates from their new family and may also be able to help with the occasional pet sit if needed. If you’re looking for a pair of loving, loyal companions who will bring warmth, character, and so much affection into your life, Ollie and Bear could be the perfect match”.
They have both now been vaccinated and castrated.
