ADOPT ME

Clover is now ready for adoption. Here is her foster-mum’s write-up…

“Clover is believed to be a 3-year-old Labrador who is very pretty, sweet natured and loves her human cuddles. She is also very quiet and hardly ever barks.

She is very well behaved and sleep brilliantly at night downstairs on her own in a dog bed most of the time. ( Although she does like chairs to sleep on as well).

She was very nervous when she arrived as she was an ex breeding girl but this is improving all the time and now she is only timid with new people when they arrive and new situations. She tends to ignore dogs although has played with a friend’s small dog.

Clover likes her soft toys and a ball. She likes to play fetch with a ball but she will let you know when she has had enough by hiding the ball or just not bringing it back to you.

She sleep quietly most of the day, near you if she can, if she has had her 2 good walks a day.

Clover is really good on a short or extendable lead and has not been pulling. She was nervous at first going on walks but she is getting more confident all the time, she is a pleasure to walk and hasn’t been any problem at all. She has not been off the lead on walks and at present I feel she is still a bit too unsure of things to be off.

Her recall in the garden is good however.

She has been left alone for short periods of time with no problems at all.

She is good in the car.

She has not been tested with young children but I think they need to be 8 plus due to her size and not being used to them.

She has not been cat tested and has never tried to chase any animals but I feel she wants to be the centre of her humans affection and would like to be an only dog.

She has had an infection in her ears so at present needs to have her ears cleaned every other day and drops in her ear twice a day until the drops have run out. Her ears are now so much better and expected to be clear when drops have ended.

Clover is in foster near Repton.

Clover will need to stay local to Derby, Nottingham, Burton or Chesterfield for her second vaccination and spay, which will be done at a safe time in her season cycle.
