ADOPT ME

Charlie is now ready for adoption. Charlie came to us recently as his owner was unable to care for him and his breeder didn’t want to take him back.

Here is his foster-mum’s write-up…

“Charlie is a 5-month-old cockapoo pup, who is honestly just the most lovely boy.

He’s currently in foster with 2 Labrador sisters and he’s fitted into the family perfectly. He loves everyone, dogs and people alike! He has been great at leaving his foster sisters, giving them space in the house and will largely entertain himself with balls or collecting all the cuddly toys he can find! He’s amazing in the house and has not destroyed or chewed anything apart from his toys. He is happy to share toys and food bowls, plus will settle beautifully in the evening!

On a walk, he’s good on the lead. He will pull very slightly, but just to say hello to people/dogs or get to sniffs. Recall I would say is one of the only things Charlie will need a little work on as he grows. The world is just too exciting and he wants to run and see it all so this will need a little work in his forever home.

He’s great at travelling in the car, will just sit there or have a little snooze.

He has been left for a few hours in the day and been absolutely fine, as well as left downstairs at night and you don’t hear a peep.

He is an early riser so we will start to hear him just before 6, but so are my dogs so I’m not sure who is encouraging who!

Charlie is fully housetrained.

I think a home with a tolerant dog (just because he does think everything is to be shared and when exited will jump up at them) or a dog free home where you are home most of the time would suit Charlie. He loves to be around you and will even sleep at your feet while you’re trying to cook!

Charlie is just a lovely little bundle of joy and whichever family he joins is SO lucky!”

Charlie has been fully vaccinated. He will need to stay local to Derby, Nottingham, Burton, Chesterfield, Mansfield, Newark or Stoke for his neutering, which will be undertaken at our vets and paid for by the rescue.

He can live with children of 8+.

He is not cat tested.

Charlie is in foster in Uttoxeter.
