Missy and Poppy are now looking for a home together. They came to us recently after their owner’s circumstances had changed.

Here is their foster-mum’s write-up.

“I have had these two girls in foster for nearly two weeks now. They have been very easy to look after and have settled well. They do look to each other for confidence, they play together and have ‘mad half hours’ where they chase each other and play fight with no aggression.

They are both food motivated which makes training very easy. They initially pull on the lead when starting a walk but soon settle.

Missy:-
Missy appears the more dominant but is also quite nervous, especially of men. If they are sitting, she’s fine and sits by them for fuss. She just gets anxious when they are standing or walking towards her.

Missy had a couple of accidents on the first days but this was when she was left downstairs over night, she now sleeps on the floor in the bedroom and there have been no more accidents.

Poppy:-
Poppy is very comfortable with people and other dogs. All she wants to do is be near (on) you. She is happiest sitting on your lap being fussed. She is also motivated by food. She does tend to jump up and sometimes mouths in excitement.

Poppy will cry if she is left and she needs to be able to see you, but this is improving as she feels more settled in our routine.

Due to Missy being quite greedy, I do feed them separately. There is no aggression over food, but with Missy being bigger she will push Poppy out of her food and eat both.

For anyone wanting a pair of love bugs I can recommend these two beautiful girls. They really are easy to live with and give the best hugs and kisses”.

Missy and Poppy are both three years old (not related).

They are both good with children and other dogs. They are not cat tested.

They have now been health checked, had their annual boosters and are both spayed. They can therefore go further afield for the perfect home together.
