ADOPT ME

Frankie is now ready for adoption. She came to us recently as one of the young children in her family home was scared of her as she is such a big pup. Frankie is only five months old and already a big girl.

Here is her foster-mum’s write-up…

“Frankie is a confident, resilient puppy. She’s quite independent and will likely be aloof as an adult.

She loves dogs of varying sizes and chases and wrestles our Bernese.

She’s very quiet and is crate trained.

Potential homes should do breed research to be aware of typical adult behaviours and size.

She’s the youngest dog I’ve ever looked after and she’s been surprisingly easy for a puppy, including not needing any overnight toilet trips.

She’s very adaptable, settled here straightaway and has been very friendly when meeting people too. She watches people while doing happy wags as she waits to be introduced.

She’s been a pleasure to have so far but it’d be great for her to get her own family soon so she can continue to grow and settle into a forever home”.

Frankie is said to be a Great Dane x Chow but while we can definitely see the Chow in her, I would have personally guessed that she was crossed with a German Shepherd. That’s obviously not to say I’m right though!

Frankie will need to stay local to Derby, Nottingham, Burton, Chesterfield, Stoke or Newark for her spay when she’s fully mature.

In view of her size, we would like her to go with dog-savvy kids of 10+.

She can live with other large breed dogs (neutered) and she isn’t cat tested so will need a cat-free home.

She will need a home with large breed experience and someone who will continue her socialisation and training so she continues to be the lovely, well-balanced girl that she is now.
