Rosie is now ready for adoption.
Rosie came to us as her owners were emigrating just after Christmas and couldn’t take Rosie too.
Here is her foster-mum’s writeup…
“What can we say about Rosie? We’ve fostered nearly 50 dogs and she’s been one of, if not the, easiest dog we’ve had to stay with us.
As soon as she arrived, she settled instantly and was asleep on the sofa within the hour. Although she’s 3 and a half, she’s very puppy like and LOVES to play, either on her own, with our resident dog or with us. She makes us laugh as she is inclined to zoomies in the house and I have feared for our Christmas tree several times 🤣🤣. Fortunately, she was very careful and so far hasn’t bumped into anything!
She’s been very good when we’ve taken her out with us. We took her to Bakewell for the day & she behaved better than our old girl did! She’s been equally well behaved when we went out too and hasn’t really put foot wrong.
At the vets she behaved really well and the vet gave her a clean bill of health. Her first vaccination has been done and the second is due on 28 January at a Scarsdale practice. Soon after that, she will need to be spayed in line with her season cycle. For this reason, she must stay local to the rescue as this is paid for as part of the adoption package.
On the lead she’s pretty good, not perfect but she doesn’t really pull – she just loves to sniff a lot.
We’ve had several visitors over the holidays and she’s been excellent with them all, including one of our previous fosters who now lives with one of our neighbours.
Whoever is lucky enough to adopt Rosie will have a fabulous dog. She came from a family environment and loved the children. We have made sure she’s been good with a neighbours two-year-old granddaughter too and she passed with flying colours.
While Rosie could live as an only dog, we feel she would be happiest with a canine buddy.
