ADOPT ME

Crumpet is now ready for adoption. Here is her foster-mum’s write-up…

“Crumpet is a curly bundle of fun.

On first meeting she can be a little nervous, but she soon settles. I have noticed that she is much happier when she is with my other dogs so I think a home with another similar-sized dog would be best for her. She does like rough play though so it needs to be a dog who can keep up with her.

She does need some lead work. I think she just gets so excited that she nibbles the lead and spins. She does listen when you correct her but getting out the house for a walk can be a bit chaotic!

She’s quite a vocal little soul, she barks when she is excited and makes a lot of noise when playing.

She travels well in the car, both in a crate or on a chair with a belt.

She can be left but not for too long, she would be best suited in a home where someone is around most of the time!

She is brilliant with children, however she does get a bit nippy when playing and sometimes it can come a bit keen so she would definitely need dog-savvy children or older children.

She’s a proper snuggler. No matter where you are, she will want to be. She is desperate to find her special human!

She is a little mischievous and does steal my items from around the house, only mine though. She hasn’t chewed anything she just takes them places, it’s quite sweet actually.

She really is a great little dog and she is going to make someone very happy. With the right training, she will be perfect”.

Crumpet was noted to have inflamed, painful ears at her initial vet check and was therefore treated with Suralan. A follow-up vet check a week later has shown them to have much improved, though this is possibly going to be a long-term issue and may be allergy related. Regular routine vet checks and over-the-counter ear cleaner to keep her ears clean and healthy would be advisable for Crumpet’s best interests.

Crumpet will need to stay local to Derby, Nottingham, Stoke, Congleton, Burton or Chesterfield areas as she will need to be spayed at our vets at a safe time in her season cycle.
