Rose joined us recently as an ex-breeding girl. She is four years old.
Rose is recovering from having her spay this week, but we are taking applications for her now so she will be ready to go to her new home following her full recovery.
Here is her foster-mum’s write up…
“Our little pocket rocket. Rose is such a beautiful, loving girl who is so affectionate and loves constant cuddles and belly rubs.
She is absolutely stunning but she’s a very needy girl and wants constant fuss. Her snout is always on our leg, the sofa where we’re sat or the side of the bath when I’m in there trying to relax!
Rose sleeps downstairs in a crate and settles well to go to sleep but she does still wake up very early (around 4am) and barks if she hears any kind of noise during the night.
She travels well in the car and is very sociable when out and about. She has been happy to meet adults and children alike and is also very dog friendly. She has been on a trip to the pub with us and behaved impeccably”.
Rose eats well, but did have a bit of an upset tummy after wet food so it’s possible this is a bit rich for her stomach, especially if she has been used to a kibble-only kennel diet.
As with most ex-kennel dogs, Rose is still quite skittish on a lead and will need more time to build up her confidence. She is more relaxed in quieter, more rural areas on her walks away from the noisy traffic and busy roads.
A home with or without other dogs will be considered for Rose. As long as she has someone around for most of the day, we believe she would enjoy being the centre of attention as she is very human orientated – though she would be just as happy sharing her home with another (similar-sized) dog too. Any dog living with Rose would, however, have to be happy with sharing their toys and able to withstand the odd barge out of the way!
Rose will need an active, outdoorsy family and plenty of tennis balls! 🎾
