Winston (Whinney) is now ready for adoption. Whinney was rescued from what is described as a dog-hoarder and we think his set-up was probably a little chaotic for him. He went to a new family, but they struggled with him being so unsocialised and contacted us to find him a safe home. When he came to us his harness was dangling from him, as he snapped whenever you tried to fasten it and even his owners were to scared to attempt to do it in case he nipped! Whinny went to a lovely foster home where he was given time and patience to unwind and settle and with the help of his foster-mum has written his own assessment 😬
“I am the handsome Whinney, a 10-year-old chinese crested dog who, given half the chance, would eat purely hoooman food. I have been with my foster-mum since the 27 May and my social interactions have massively improved. I enjoy the huge garden, as long as it is NOT wet.
I have had a few wet accidents, mostly when she goes to the shops, – how dare she leave me !!!!
I love being in the car and enjoy sleeping in anyone’s bed who will have me.
I do not like my paws and nails being touched and I will grumble to tell you to leave me alone. I am now happy to have a lead put on and get excited to go out.
I’m more than happy to be sat in your lap or right next to you with short breaks for my food, which I have three times a day and toilet if I really have to…..”
Whinny may revert to being a little snappy until he trusts you and you must understand this if you want to take him on.
Whinny will need to be pet-free.
